The short answer
DawBets is the best free odds screen for +EV betting as of October 2026, because DawBets is the only tool in this ranking whose free plan flags +EV bets with a fair price attached. The DawBets free plan has every tool, needs no credit card and shows 100 bets a week. Locktopus is #2: the Locktopus free account gives a full odds screen across 30+ books and a vig remover, but its +EV tool is paid. Unjuiced and Unabated round out the top four, and each keeps its +EV tool behind a paywall.
A free odds screen shows you prices. A +EV bet needs one more thing: a fair price to compare those prices against. That second piece is what most free tiers leave out, and it decides this ranking.
Ranked October 2026
| Rank | Tool | What the free tier gives you | Flags +EV bets free? | Card needed for free? | Cheapest paid plan with +EV tools (checked Oct 21, 2026) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | DawBets | Every tool, including the +EV Bet Feed with a fair price and Kelly-sized stake, price comparison across 20+ books and prediction markets, and bet tracking. Capped at 100 bets seen a week. | Yes, up to 100 bets a week | No | Pro, $29/mo (1,000 bets a week) |
| 2 | Locktopus | Odds screen across every book Locktopus covers, 3 Prop Outlier reveals a day, Vig Remover and Odds Converter. | No (Positive EV Bets is a Pro tool) | No | Pro, $40/mo ($360/yr billed annually) |
| 3 | Unjuiced | Odds Screen, My Slips, Weather Report and calculators. | No (the +EV scanner starts on Grinder) | Not stated | Grinder, $99/mo; 7-day trial, payment method required |
| 4 | Unabated | Basic account: game odds screen with non-market-making books such as DraftKings and FanDuel, plus the Hold and Closing Line Value calculators. No market-maker books, no Unabated Line. | No | Not stated | Props+, $99/mo (one market maker); Premium, $199/mo (all market makers and the Unabated Line) |
Locktopus, Unjuiced and Unabated also list offshore books, which LineGoat doesn't recommend. DawBets also lists offshore books and sweepstakes or social books (not state-licensed sportsbooks), which LineGoat doesn't recommend. Turn those off in each tool's book settings and stick to state-licensed US sportsbooks.
How we ranked them
We scored only what each tool gives away free, in this order of weight:
- Free +EV flags. Does the free tier mark which bets are +EV, against a stated fair price? This is the job a +EV bettor needs done, so it outweighs everything else.
- A fair-price reference. If the free tier doesn't flag +EV bets, does it at least give you a sharp line or a devig (vig remover) tool, so you can do the math yourself?
- Screen coverage. How many state-licensed US books the free screen shows, by the tool's own published count.
- Friction. Weekly caps, daily caps, and whether the free tier needs a card.
We didn't score paid features, company profit claims or testimonials. We read each tool's own pricing page and FAQ on Oct 21, 2026, and we used LineGoat's tool profiles for older checks. We don't rank LineGoat's own free tools here.
Why each tool ranks where it does
1. DawBets: the only free tier that flags +EV bets
DawBets ranks #1 because the DawBets free plan includes the Bet Feed: real-time +EV bets, pre-game and live, each with a fair price and a Kelly-sized wager, per DawBets' pricing page. DawBets says every plan gets every tool and that "a plan sets how many bets you see each week." Free sees 100 bets a week, Pro ($29/mo) sees 1,000, and Max ($79/mo) sees every bet.
The cap is the catch. A bet counts against the 100 when it reaches you on the Feed, in an alert, or when you open or compare it. When you hit 100, new bets pause until the weekly reset, while tracking keeps working. DawBets is also new: its terms took effect April 1, 2026, and its published book counts don't match (20+ on the pricing page, 16+ and 18+ elsewhere on its own site). Treat its homepage EV figures as company claims; LineGoat hasn't verified them.
Pick DawBets if you want flagged +EV bets without paying, and 100 a week is enough for your volume.
2. Locktopus: the widest free screen, but the +EV tool is paid
Locktopus ranks #2 because the Locktopus free account covers the second weight in our method well: an odds screen across every book Locktopus covers (30+ sportsbooks and exchanges), plus a Vig Remover to turn a sharp line into fair odds. Locktopus' own FAQ says a free account gets "the Odds Screen and 3 Prop Outlier reveals a day. No card needed."
Locktopus doesn't rank higher because Positive EV Bets, the Arbitrage Finder and CLV tracking are Pro features on Locktopus' pricing table. Locktopus is also young: BetSmart reports it launched publicly in August 2026. Pro costs $40/mo, or $360/yr billed annually. Basic is $20/mo and Sharp is $99/mo (checked Oct 21, 2026).
Pick Locktopus if you'll devig prices yourself and want a broad free screen to shop lines on.
3. Unjuiced: free screen and calculators, scanner on Grinder
Unjuiced ranks #3 because the Unjuiced free access row covers an Odds Screen and calculators, per the plan table on Unjuiced's pricing page. Unjuiced says its odds tools cover 20+ sportsbooks and prediction markets.
Unjuiced ranks below Locktopus because the Unjuiced free tier has no vig remover listed and no flagged edges of any kind. The Positive EV scanner, Soft Lines, arbitrage and middles start on Grinder at $99/mo. Scout ($19/mo) is research only. Grinder has a 7-day trial that needs a payment method and starts billing unless you cancel in time. Unjuiced's homepage says arbs "lock profit"; Unjuiced's own terms say the tool "does not guarantee profits or outcomes."
Pick Unjuiced if you mainly want a free screen now and expect to test a paid +EV scanner later.
4. Unabated: a free screen without the sharp books
Unabated ranks #4 because the Unabated Basic (free) account keeps the game odds screen but strips the part a +EV bettor needs most. Unabated's own post on its Premium tiers says Basic users keep "non-market making books like DraftKings and FanDuel," while market makers, the Unabated Line (Unabated's vig-free sharp line) and the integrated betting tools are paid. Basic users keep the Hold Calculator and the Closing Line Value Calculator.
Without a market-making book on the screen, the Unabated free tier gives you prices to compare but no sharp reference to compare them against. Props+ ($99/mo) adds one market maker. Premium ($199/mo) adds all of them and the Unabated Line. Both monthly plans carry a 14-day money-back guarantee on the first payment; annual plans, Concierge and add-ons are excluded.
Pick Unabated if you plan to pay for Premium later and want to learn the screen first.
Who should pick what
- Choose DawBets if you want flagged +EV bets for $0 and can live with 100 bets a week.
- Choose Locktopus if you want the broadest free screen and will do the devig math yourself.
- Pick Unjuiced or Unabated if you're likely to pay for a scanner later and want to learn that tool's screen first.
- Skip free tiers entirely if you bet high volume every day. Every weekly cap and missing sharp line above costs you time. Our OddsJam alternatives page compares the paid tools.
Do the +EV math yourself with any free screen
Any free screen becomes a +EV tool if you add a fair price. Take a sharp book's two-sided price, remove the vig, and compare the fair odds with the best US price on the screen. LineGoat's free no-vig fair odds calculator does the devig step. Devig Sports and Crazy Ninja Odds also offer free devig calculators, with prices you type in.
LineGoat runs the same method every morning on nine US sportsbooks against Pinnacle's no-vig price, and publishes the top result as Edge of the Day. Pinnacle lines are used only as a sharp reference price; LineGoat doesn't promote betting at Pinnacle. The method is on How Edge of the Day works, and every published edge, losses included, stays on the Edge Tracker. A +EV bet is a long-run math estimate. Any single +EV bet can lose.
Left out of this ranking
- OddsPortal is free, but its value-bets page compares prices with the market average rather than a sharp no-vig price, the books it shows depend on your location, and its own sure-bets page calls arbitrage a way to "win guaranteed profit." No bet is guaranteed. See our OddsPortal profile.
- Optimal Bet isn't ranked. Its pricing page shows one paid plan, Optimal+ ($49.99/mo or $419.99/yr), and we couldn't confirm a free plan on Optimal Bet's own site (checked Oct 21, 2026). Optimal Bet says free trials are "available on select plans." See our Optimal Bet profile.
- BetBurger has a free plan with "limits and delays"; with-bet.com reports the free plan hides surebets and caps value finds at about 2%. It's built for arbitrage at international books and priced in euros. Also lists offshore books, which LineGoat doesn't recommend. See our BetBurger profile.
- OddsJam, Sharp App, OddsShopper and Betstamp Pro have no lasting free plan (trials or demos only), per their LineGoat profiles.
- OddsTrader is excluded because LineGoat doesn't recommend it: its odds board showed only offshore books to a US visitor. Other tools marked "not recommended" in LineGoat's directory are excluded too.

FAQ
What is the best free odds screen for +EV betting?
DawBets ranks #1 in LineGoat's October 2026 ranking, because the DawBets free plan is the only free tier in this ranking that flags +EV bets with a fair price. It shows 100 bets a week and needs no card (checked Oct 21, 2026).
Is there a free odds screen with no weekly limit?
Locktopus' free account gives an odds screen across every book it covers, with no weekly cap stated, plus 3 Prop Outlier reveals a day and no card needed (checked Oct 21, 2026). Locktopus doesn't flag +EV bets on the free account.
Can I find +EV bets with a free odds screen that doesn't flag them?
