This page explains what LineGoat (linegoat.com) collects when you use the site, why, and who else handles it. We kept it short because we collect very little. LineGoat has no user accounts, takes no payments and does not take bets.

LineGoat is operated by Holocron HQ LLC, 1621 Central Ave, Cheyenne, WY 82001, USA. Contact: [email protected].

What we collect and why

1. Your email address, if you sign up for the Daily Edge

The signup forms on /newsletter, /pro and /no-vig-cheat-sheet send you to our newsletter provider, beehiiv, to finish signing up. LineGoat's own site does not store your email address. beehiiv stores it so we can send you the Daily Edge newsletter.

What the forms pass to beehiiv:

  • On /newsletter: your email address.
  • On /pro (the Daily Edge Pro waitlist): your email address plus three fixed labels that tell us the signup came from the Pro waitlist page on our website (utm_source=linegoat, utm_medium=website, utm_campaign=pro_waitlist). Joining the waitlist also subscribes you to the free Daily Edge.
  • On /no-vig-cheat-sheet (the free no-vig cheat sheet): your email address plus three fixed labels that tell us the signup came from the cheat sheet page on our website (utm_source=linegoat, utm_medium=website, utm_campaign=no_vig_cheat_sheet).

Both forms ask you to tick a box confirming you are 21 or older. The box has to be ticked before the form will submit, but the tick itself is not sent to beehiiv or saved anywhere.

The forms open beehiiv's page with your email address in the web address itself. That means your email can show up in your browser history and in beehiiv's server logs.

beehiiv may collect more on its own signup page and when it sends emails. What it collects is set out in beehiiv's privacy policy.

2. A record of clicks on our partner links

Some "Visit" and "Pricing" buttons go through a LineGoat link that starts with /go/ (for example /go/oddsjam) before sending you on to the partner's site. When a person clicks one, we save one row in our own database (Cloudflare D1) with:

  • the date and time of the click
  • which partner link was clicked, and whether it was the "visit" or "pricing" link
  • where the click came from: the LineGoat page path (such as /tools/oddsjam), or just the word "external", "direct" or "unknown" if it did not come from a LineGoat page or the source could not be read. We never save the address of outside websites or anything after the "?" in a web address.
  • the LineGoat page the link sits on
  • a short browser hint: the browser name and main version number plus the operating system (for example "Chrome/141 Windows"), not your full browser details
  • three standard browser request labels that describe how the click happened (for example whether it was a same-site link click)
  • a yes/no flag and a reason code if the click looks automated

We do not save your IP address, your full browser details, your email or any name in this record. We use it to count real clicks on partner links and to filter out bots. Clicks from known bots and from requests with no browser details are not recorded at all.

Totals from this record can be viewed by anyone at a public address on our site. They show daily totals only: how many partner clicks were logged that Arizona day, how many came from a LineGoat page, how many look real and how many look automated. They include no IP address, email, browser details, partner names, page paths or click times.

3. Site analytics from Cloudflare

LineGoat is hosted on Cloudflare. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which adds a small script from Cloudflare to our pages to measure visits and page speed. Cloudflare says Web Analytics does not use cookies or local storage and does not fingerprint visitors by IP address or browser details (Cloudflare's Web Analytics documentation). We see totals, such as page views and load times, not individual visitors.

Separately, because Cloudflare delivers and protects the site, Cloudflare handles every request to linegoat.com, including your IP address, as part of running its network. Cloudflare also asks browsers to report connection errors to it. How Cloudflare handles that data is set out in Cloudflare's privacy policy.

4. Emails you send us

If you email [email protected], we receive your email address and whatever you write. Our "Submit a tool" form at /submit does not send anything to us by itself: it opens a pre-filled email in your own email app, and nothing reaches us unless you send that email.

What we don't collect

LineGoat has no logins, no comments and no checkout. The site's own code sets no cookies and does not use your browser's local storage or session storage. We don't run advertising pixels or ad networks.

The affiliate programs run on tracking services chosen by each partner. Based on our partner records, OddsJam uses Tapfiliate (privacy policy) and SportsGameOdds uses PromoteKit (privacy policy).

When you follow any link from LineGoat to another site, including beehiiv and our partner links, our site tells your browser to share at most our home address, https://linegoat.com/, as where you came from, never the LineGoat page you were on.

Many other links on LineGoat (sportsbooks, apps and tools) are plain links with no LineGoat tracking. Once you leave LineGoat, the site you visit has its own privacy policy.

Cookies

LineGoat's own code sets no cookies. Cookies can still come from these services:

  • Affiliate partners. When you reach a partner's site through one of our partner links, the partner or its tracking service can set cookies on its own site so it can credit LineGoat if you sign up. The partner link itself identifies LineGoat as the referrer. Those cookies are set and controlled by the partner, under its privacy policy above.
  • beehiiv. When you finish signing up on beehiiv's page, beehiiv can set its own cookies there.
  • Cloudflare. Cloudflare can set strictly necessary security cookies, for example cf_clearance if it shows you a security check. Cloudflare lists these on its cookies page. Web Analytics itself uses no cookies.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. LineGoat will still work.

How long we keep it

  • Partner click record: kept up to 24 months, then deleted.
  • Newsletter email: kept by beehiiv while you are subscribed. After you unsubscribe, beehiiv's own retention rules apply (see beehiiv's privacy policy).
  • Emails to [email protected]: kept up to 24 months, unless a longer period is needed for a legal claim or ongoing correspondence you start.
  • Cloudflare analytics and network data: kept by Cloudflare under its own policies.

Your choices

  • Unsubscribe from the Daily Edge at any time with the unsubscribe link in any issue.
  • Ask us about your data, or ask us to delete your email from our newsletter list, by emailing [email protected].
  • Block cookies or analytics scripts in your browser. The site still works without them.

The partner click record holds no name, email or IP address, so we can't tie a row to a specific person.

Children and age

LineGoat is for adults 21 and older. It is not meant for anyone under 21, and our newsletter forms ask you to confirm you are 21 or older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. If you believe someone under 21 has signed up, email [email protected] and we will remove their email from our newsletter list.

Responsible gambling

This privacy policy covers data only. For help with gambling problems, call 1-800-GAMBLER (1-800-426-2537) at any time.

Changes to this policy

If what we collect changes, we will update this page and the effective date at the top. If we start collecting something new, such as through a new signup form or download, we will add it here first.
