OddsJam vs OddsShopper

Two paid +EV tools from our odds-screens category. OddsJam is built around arbitrage, +EV, middles and promo conversion. OddsShopper is built around PortfolioEV: you choose which books set the fair price and run a portfolio of strategies. Both follow sharp prediction-market action in some form. They differ on price, billing options and how in-game tools are packaged.

Who sets the fair price: PortfolioEV vs OddsJam's benchmark books

Every +EV tool compares a sportsbook's price with a "fair" price. These two differ on who picks the book that sets it.

OddsJam measures bets against the books it treats as setting the real market, naming Kalshi and FanDuel among them, and returns exactly what and how much to bet.

OddsShopper calls its approach PortfolioEV with custom devigging: you pick the benchmark books. Its Portfolio Lab builds strategies from historical data by sport and league, and its help page says Mass Entry places 10–20+ bets "in just a few clicks across books".

One worked bet (hypothetical prices and our arithmetic, not output from either tool). A soft book offers an underdog at +120, decimal 2.20.

  • Benchmark A hangs the game at -120 / +100. Implied odds are 54.5% and 50.0%, adding to 104.5%. Scaling them back to 100% leaves the underdog at 47.8%, a fair price near +109. At +120 that is about +5.2% EV (0.478 × 2.20 − 1).
  • Benchmark B hangs the same game at -115 / -105. Implied odds are 53.5% and 51.2%, adding to 104.7%. The underdog's no-vig share is 48.9%, near +104, and the same +120 ticket now shows about +7.6% EV.

Same ticket, two answers. Picking the benchmark moves the edge, which is why BetSmart says to "judge it on where your CLV sits after a few hundred bets" rather than on single nights.

Live tools cost (our arithmetic). OddsShopper Pro ($149.95/mo) and OddsJam Live Arbitrage & EV ($499.99/mo, on the version of OddsJam's pricing page that lists monthly prices) are about $350 a month apart. Over three monthly payments that is $449.85 vs $1,499.97.

Who each tool fits

OddsJam fits bettors who would rather let the tool pick the benchmark and size each bet, and who also want arbitrage, middles and promo conversion across a wide book list. BetSmart says OddsJam has wider coverage and a faster screen but costs more.

OddsShopper fits disciplined, high-volume +EV bettors who want to set their own devig method and judge results over hundreds of bets. BetSmart says pre-game bettors can stay on Core, and that Pro is mainly for in-game betting and the Liquidity Tool. Note that BetSmart offers OddsShopper discounts through its own link.

Watch-outs

  • OddsShopper's weekly plan costs more over time. $29.95/wk is about $130 a month, versus $99.95 on monthly billing (our arithmetic).
  • Extras cost extra. OddsShopper's Stokastic Props is marked "Upgrade to Unlock" even on Pro. OddsJam lists a Fantasy Optimizer add-on at $59.
  • Testimonials. Both sites show user profit quotes, and LineGoat has not verified them. OddsJam notes some featured users are OddsJam partners and says the results are verified.
  • Limits. OddsJam says some books will eventually cut your max bet. On Oct 17, 2026 its pricing page suggested keeping stakes under $300 a side and rounding to the nearest $5 to delay that.

FAQ

Which one costs less per month?

On list prices, OddsShopper. Core is $99.95/mo, or $83.33/mo billed annually; Pro is $149.95/mo. OddsJam's pricing page showed two versions across 10 visits on Oct 29, 2026: half listed its comparable Pre-Match Arbitrage & EV plan at $199.99/mo, and half showed per-day prices. Prices also differ in the app stores; check its pricing page for your price.

Do both have a free trial?

Yes. Both list a 7-day free trial. Reviewers say OddsJam takes a card and bills automatically unless you cancel before day 7.

What is the OddsShopper guarantee?

OddsShopper's subscribe page says: "If you do not profit after 300+ bets following our recommendations, we will provide a full refund of your initial purchase." It covers only bets that follow its recommendations, and OddsShopper's Terms of Use (last updated Dec 1, 2025) don't mention it; they say subscription fees are non-refundable unless the Terms provide otherwise (checked Oct 31, 2026).

Which covers in-game betting?

Both, on higher plans. OddsJam sells Live Arbitrage & EV ($499.99/mo on the version of its pricing page that lists monthly prices, Oct 29, 2026). OddsShopper puts in-game EV, the in-game odds screen and in-game arbitrage on Pro ($149.95/mo).

Does LineGoat earn a commission from these tools?

LineGoat has an affiliate deal with OddsJam, not with OddsShopper (as of Oct 20, 2026). That is why this page does not name a winner. The page has no affiliate links; both tools link to our profiles.
